With the world of smartphones becoming ever more sophisticated, we decided to take a look at three contenders and ask the question, which mobile phone offers the best value for money? Firstly we have the HTC desire. You can get the HTC desire on Orange, T-Mobile and O2. It is the latest Android offering from HTC and offers a wealth of functionality including a 1-GHZ Snapdragon processor which makes light work of multi-tasking. It is essentially the same as the Nexus One, which is available on Vodafone with some software tweaks and is excellent in terms of functionality. Next up we have the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10. Yes the name is a bit of a mouthful, but the handset offers truly incredible photo’s and the interface is pretty neat too. You can get Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 deals on all the major UK networks at the time of writing. Finally we have the latest Nokia handset which is due to be released very soon. It goes by the name of the Nokia N8 and it sports a massive screen and superb functionality. It does run on Nokia’s rather clunky Symbiam platform but don’t let that put you off. You can expect to see Nokia N8 deals later this year. So out of the three handsets, given the choice which would we go for? Well we would have to say the HTC Desire, it offers plenty of apps at a great price. It has an excellent screen and can multi-task. What more could you want in a mobile phone?
